Victor Simms, M.D., a 2019 Super Doctors® Honoree, is Chief of the Department of Internal Medicine at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic and Managing Physician of the Pasadena Clinic. He is certified by The American Board of Internal Medicine and cares for his patients at Kelsey-Seybold’s Pasadena Clinic. Dr. Simms graduated from Baylor College of Medicine’s medical school in 1996. Following his doctorate, he completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor. He continued his education at the school with a fellowship in Primary Care Research. In addition, he holds a master’s degree from The University of Texas in Public Health. Dr. Simms is a fellow of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Physicians Services and a past president of the organization. “I view medicine as a calling, not just a job. The Texas Chapter of the American College of Physicians (ACP) honored Dr. Simms in 2013 with the inaugural “Young Physician of the Year Award.” He has been recognized with a prestigious national certification for excellence in caring for diabetic patients, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Dr. Simms was honored with the 2011 “Patients' Choice Award” on Vitals.com.
