Michael Newmark, M.D., named to the 2019 Texas Super Doctors® Legacy Hall of Fame for having made the Super Doctors list 15 years in a row, joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in March 1983. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and cares for patients at Kelsey-Seybold’s Berthelsen Main Campus and Clear Lake Clinic locations. After graduating from Columbia University’s medical school in 1972, Dr. Newmark completed an Internal Medicine residency at Harlem Hospital in 1973. In 1976, Dr. Newmark completed a fellowship at Columbia University’s Neurology Institute. He completed his medical education with a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, where he specialized in epilepsy. “I try to learn as much as possible about my patients to get an understanding about the best course of treatment for them.
