Jonathan Aliota, M.D., is a 2020 Texas Super Doctors® Honoree and a board-certified Interventional Cardiology specialist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. He has a master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Tulane University Graduate School in New Orleans. He completed his medical degree in 2002 at Tulane University School of Medicine/Charity Hospital, where he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine and served as chief resident. In 2006, Dr. Aliota transferred to the Texas Heart Institute at CHI St. Luke’s Health–Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, where he completed both his general Cardiology fellowship and Interventional Cardiology fellowship. He served as chief general Cardiology fellow and chief interventional fellow during his tenure. “I believe in creating a collaborative atmosphere where patients are encouraged to ask questions and, in return, are given easy-to-understand explanations of their conditions and treatment options,” says Dr. Aliota. His clinical interests include general Cardiology, coronary artery disease, and a special focus on peripheral artery disease and treatment including lower extremity therapies, endovascular aneurysm repair, and carotid artery stenting.
