James C. Hoyle Jr., M.D., F.A.A.P., F,S.A.H.M, a 2019 Texas Super Doctors® Honoree, has been the Medical Director of Clinical Operations for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic since 1994. Dr. Hoyle is a transplanted North Carolinian, having attended Wake Forest University and the Bowman Gray School of Medicine prior to moving to Houston in 1972 for his residency. Following a military commitment in the U.S. Air Force Strategic Air Command, he returned to Houston in 1978 and joined the Kelsey-Seybold medical staff. Dr. Hoyle is a clinical professor in the department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and a facility educator and supervisor in the Adolescent Medicine fellowship program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine. “Growing up in a fast-paced culture with all the academic and social stress of today can be damaging for many young people,” Dr. Hoyle says. “If we are to assist them with a successful transition from childhood through adolescence to adulthood, we need to provide these kids with support and understanding.” Dr. Hoyle cares for patients at Kelsey-Seybold’s Berthelsen Main Campus.
