Dr. Franko, Board Certified in Colorectal Surgery, has been a pioneer in laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He performed the first and some of the most complex laparoscopic colon surgeries at Baylor Medical Center of Dallas. Because of his expertise he was selected as one of only 25 surgeons nationally for a unique simulation study on such surgery. He has a passion for innovative techniques and treatments as well as encouraging screening colonoscopies. He has practiced surgery for over 30 years and presently serves in the Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery at Baylor Medical Center. Recognized by his peers for selection in Texas Surgery Doctors and D Magazine's Best Doctors.
