Ali Mortazavi, M.D., named to the 2019 Texas Super Doctors® Legacy Hall of Fame for having made the Super Doctors list 15 years in a row, is Chief of Cardiology at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. Dr. Mortazavi received his medical degree in 1979 from the University of Tehran School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Baylor College of Medicine. He also completed a fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute. Dr. Mortazavi's clinical interests include general Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, lipid management, transesophageal echocardiology, permanent pacemakers, AICD, biventricular pacemaker, biventricular AICD, percutaneous valve procedures, and endovascular aortic aneurysm repair. The International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners designated him as a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist. “When people are ill, they are at their most vulnerable,” Dr. Mortazavi says. “If I am able to reverse the process and make an impact on their lives, there is no greater reward than that.” He cares for patients at Kelsey-Seybold’s Berthelsen Main Campus, View his video profile and expanded bio.
