Dr. Evelyn Attia is Director of the Center for Eating Disorders at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Attia is Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Attia is a nationally recognized expert in the study and treatment of individuals with eating disorders and, since 1999, has received uninterrupted funding for her research from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Eating Disorders Research Society, and is an elected Fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorders.
