Dr. Kwak is an enthusiastic contributor to books, articles and blogs on facial plastic surgery. His voice has become a trusted authority on advanced topics in rhinoplasty technique, and he frequently tours the US giving lectures. He works as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Head and Neck Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is also responsible for training new facial surgeons at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in cosmetic procedures. In addition, Dr. Kwak is proud to participate as a partner with Faces of Honor, a program sponsored by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery that provides free-of-charge medical services to injured veterans.
After attending Medical School at Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Kwak completed his graduate studies at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in general surgery. Following that, Dr. Kwak completed one of the country’s most prestigious residencies in Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. After, Dr. Kwak continued his training by doing his fellowship under the renowned facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Russell Kridel. After finishing this, he went to Seoul, Korea as a visiting surgeon, where he broadened his skill and knowledge in the nation's best institutions.
