Dr. Apostolos Tassiopoulos is the Chief of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and Interim Chair for the Department of Surgery at Stony Brook Medicine. He received his degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki School of Medicine, he is board certified in both general and vascular surgery and has been practicing vascular surgery for more than 20 years. Dr. Tassiopoulos has expertise in open and endovascular surgery for the management of aortic aneurysms, lower extremity vascular disease (PAD), venous disease and surgery for stroke prevention (carotid stenting and endarterectomy). His practice has locations throughout Suffolk County Long Island.
