Profile

Lawrence D. Wagman, M.D., surgical oncologist with City of Hope® Cancer Center, is a rare combination of scholar-clinician and down-to-earth people person, with a long-standing record of leadership in cancer care. He graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and spent 20 years at City of Hope, in part as chair of the Division of Surgery. After a decade at St. Joseph Hospital - Center for Cancer Prevention and Treatment Palliative Care, most recently as executive medical director, Dr. Wagman returned to City of Hope. He specializes in stomach, liver, bile duct, pancreatic, and breast cancer, plus sarcoma and melanoma.
