Dr. Edward K. Nomoto is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, specializing in spine surgery. He holds a special interest in minimally invasive techniques and their application in degenerative disorders and spinal deformities. Dr. Nomoto has also incorporated robotic spine surgery into both degenerative and complex spinal surgeries with the goal of improving patient outcomes. He also specializes in motion preservation surgery, including disc replacement surgery in both the cervical and lumbar spines. He continuously strives to incorporate newer technologies and integrates them into practice to optimize patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes. Dr. Nomoto believes in a patientcentered approach with patient education and understanding as key components to the medical decision-making process. He is a member of many national spine organizations and is actively involved in clinical research and the training of residents, fellows, and fellow surgeons both domestically and internationally. Dr. Nomoto earned his doctorate of medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic surgery residencDy at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He completed his spine fellowship at the San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders.
