Are you a physician dealing with burnout, or wanting to prevent it? Are you the family member of someone in this situation?

First, you're not alone -- and second, I can help.

I’m a board-certified psychiatrist and homeopathic physician with 30+ years’ patient care experience. Through my medical practice, I provide natural treatment options for adults with depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress-related health conditions. My treatment philosophy embodies mindfulness, emotional intelligence, self-compassion, and spiritual growth.

As a Personal and Executive Coach, I specialize in helping doctors transform the stresses of Medicine into wholehearted living and working. The syndrome of burnout can be a wakeup call, heralding opportunities to make life-affirming changes. Through a process of coaching inquiry and personal discovery, physicians can reconfigure their lives and practices in more fulfilling, healthy ways. Patients, medical teams, families, and the organizations employing these doctors all benefit from the evolution that results.

My training includes fellowships in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Integrative Medicine, and Administrative Psychiatry, as well as extensive homeopathic training with American Medical College of Homeopathy (Phoenix, Arizona) and California Center for Homeopathic Education (San Diego, California). I serve as adjunct faculty with the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at University of Arizona College of Medicine, and for over a decade mentored physicians learning homeopathy through American Medical College of Homeopathy.

I am trained in Integrative Health Coaching (Duke Center for Integrative Medicine), and also as a Personal and Executive Coach through the College of Executive Coaching. I have been a certified Physician Burnout Prevention Coach since 2016 – and am part of’s Coaching Alliance. I am also a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator with Dr. Brené Brown, and a trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion. Additionally, I have found the 3 Principles understanding immensely useful for myself, my patients, and my clients -- and became a Certifed Change Coach with Dr. Amy Johnson in 2020. I have also continued mentoring with Drs. Bill and Linda Pettit for the last several years.

My work with physicians combines the science and practices of Positive Psychology (focusing on strengths and optimal functioning) with courageous leadership, in both personal and professional life. Physicians also learn to meld their technical expertise with mindfulness and compassion, in the service of healing. Certified in Enneagram Applications and Enneagram Coaching, I use Enneagram to support my clients' self-understanding, self-compassion, and personal evolution.

Coaching sessions can be in person, by phone, or through Zoom.

My practice is affiliated with Optimal You, a Scottsdale multidisciplinary consortium of integrative health and wellness professionals providing mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual strategies for optimal growth, resilience, and freedom from suffering.
